Falbo Bros. Pizzeria and The Garlic Knot Win Fort Collins’ Best Pizza At The Great Colorado Pie Fight 2013

We had a great time at The La-Z-Boy Great Colorado Pie Fight on Saturday. I hope you did too. Over 700 people came to the Northside Aztlan Community Center in Fort Collins to sample some of the best pizza in Northern Colorado.

Who came out on top and can claim the title of Northern Colorado's best pizza?Our panel of judges, gave the "Best Pizza" award to the Fort Collins Garlic Knot. While Falbo Bros. Pizzeria of Fort Collins took home the prestigious honor of "People's Choice" for best pizza. And it was a close vote, I know the judge's decisions came down to a tie, and they had to have a vote-off to decide the winner, and the top three finishers in the people's choice category were all separated by less than 10 votes. Needless to say there were a LOT of good pies eaten that day.

We had a lot of walk-ups that we had to turn away because we would not have had enough room or enough pizza for them, but we will do it again. And next year will be even bigger and better!

I also got  a little honor or my own on Saturday, I took the crown of "The Crust King" (The fastest pizza eater here at our Townsquare Media radio stations) by downing a medium pizza in about 4-and-a-half minutes. Ouch...
