2nd ANNUAL SPECIAL NEEDS PAGEANT IN COLORADO

The Colorado Angels Pageant is a pageant specifically for individuals with special needs, both male and female, ages birth to 30. The 2nd annual pageant will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014. Anyone with a medically diagnosed physical or intellectual impairment is invited to participate. Registration is free. Hair, makeup, wardrobe, and professional photography will also be provided free of charge.
This is not your typical pageant, it is a non-competitive pageant. Everyone is a winner. All participants will receive a crown, sash, t-shirt, and gift bag. This pageant is about making everyone who participates feel beautiful both inside and out. The pageant is being coordinated by Richelle Lanphear and Vanessa Schwartz. The pageant is of personal interest to both ladies as they each have daughters with special needs. Richelle says: “The goal of this pageant is to give special needs children and adults a place to be treated like royalty. We want them to feel like the stars of the show, and for the audience to see their unique beauty shining through.” She adds, “People that are ‘differently abled’ have a lot to teach the world. This is one opportunity for them to do that, and for their families and friends to celebrate them.”
This event is free to the public, and everyone is invited. There is no charge to participate. The registration deadline is July 1st, but late registrations will be accepted as space allows.
