The Weld County Sheriff's Office announced it will be sponsoring a local student to attend the FBI National Academy Associates 2016 Youth Leadership Program this summer.

Ethan Alcazar, a student at EatonHigh School, is heavily involved in the community, maintains a 4.0 grade average, and is involved in school athletics as well as several extracurricular activities. When he is not in school, Ethan volunteers at his church and the Guadalupe Shelter - an opportunity which he says offers him life lessons that make him a better person.

According to a press release from the WCSO, Ethan will be attending the FBINAA Youth Leadership Program, which is a week-long training event for high school students held at the FBI campus in Quantico, Virginia. Students taking the program learn from some of the top instructors in the country and will have the opportunity to tour the nation's capital.

Congratulations, Ethan! You deserve this amazing opportunity, and we wish you the best of luck this summer and beyond!
