Dumb Criminal of the Day – Men Steal Beer, Snacks in Front of Police [VIDEO]

I know it can be tough to resist a late-night snack craving, but that really doesn't explain the stupidity in this story.

On January 23rd, 2011, two men walked into a California convenience store at around 4am, according to the Orange County Register.  They then attempted to steal $18.76 worth of beer and food merchandise.  But as you can see in the camera footage below, apparently they were so focused on their loot that they didn't see the several police officers gathered in the store a few feet away.

Needless to say, these two geniuses didn't make it far before being caught and arrested.
