Purdue Fire Authority responded to a call that ad black dog fell through the ice after it walked out onto the frigid water of Sheldon Lake. Shortly before 4 p.m. on Thursday (November 13), emergency responders received a call that the dog had fallen through the ice and was struggling as it tried to get out of the water. According to the Coloradoan, it was 9 degrees in Fort Collins at the time of the rescue, as two rescue swimmers assisted the dog out of the water.
