More than 500 airports were included in the 2017/2018 survey, and were then voted on by international air travelers around the world. Although Denver's airport landed at 29th on the world list, it was still the highest ranked of any airport in the entire country. Not only that, but DIA earned the second spot for all of North America, falling behind Vancouver, British Columbia.

Singapore Changi was voted as the best airport in the world for the sixth year in a row. Other American airports that ranked high on the list were Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International, followed by Houston Hobby International, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International and San Francisco International Airport.
