Hot, hot, hot...is it a coincidence that the people that fight fires are also just as hot as fire itself? Hmmmm I don't think so!  WARNING...this blog features shirtless firefighters!

I got the privilege to attend the debut party for the 2016 Colorado Firefighters Calendar and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Neither do the men (and women) featured in the 2016 Colorado Firefighter Calendar.

The first group to hit the stage and start the party off right were the veterans representing the past issues of the calendar and let me tell you, from what I saw and heard...they all still had it. Next up, of course were all of the Firefighters of this year's Calendar. Each took the stage and the entire audience absolutely loved it. The event was full of energy and entertainment that exuded from each firefighter that took the stage for their spotlight moment. When they weren't on stage, the firefighters walked around in the crowd, having tons of fun taking pictures with everyone and leaving their trace of oil and glitter.

I had such a great time at this event that I would highly recommend it for a girls night out and it's even a great idea for a bachelorette party. What's better than having fun and supporting our local heros and the children close to their hearts?

The event also featured a silent auction with items that each firefighter loved as well as the opportunity to bid to be one of the lucky few that oils up a firefighter. It's all in good fun to benefit the Colorado Children's Hospital burn unit as well as the Firefighter's Burn Camps Program so any amount of donation, at any time, is extremely appreciated. The calendars are on sale year round as well. All of the firefighters worked very hard last night to raise as much money as they could, so don't forget to pick up your copy of the calendar and support our amazing firefighters!

Don't forget to support our Northern Colorado First Responders with our Teddy Bear Patrol either! We would love to see this toy drive just go above and beyond with as many Teddy Bears as we can get!

A special thank you to Amy Snowberger, Kendra Schneider, Colorado Firefighter Loren Schuessler with North Metro Fire and Elk Creek Fire Department, the 2016 Colorado Firefighter Calendar, and every single Colorado firefighter for all that they do and face for all of us on a never ending basis.
