The rest of the country is having a field day making marijuana jokes about Colorado and they are sending their media crews here to cover it. One CNN reporter was called out by Anderson Cooper for getting a 'contact high' while doing a piece on cannabis tours.

Hilarity ensues.

After spending an afternoon in a limo of people touring marijuana dispensaries and smoking left and right, Randi Kaye is giggling and making bad pot-puns and Cooper asks her how extensive her research was. She replies with, "It was top notch. We did extensive research. Let me tell you...I think we got a little bit of a contact high there."

Cooper featured Kaye again during a segment of the RidicuList (watch it below) where after he airs the highlights of her cannabis tour he tells his guests, "I think she was high." (That part has bee trimmed out of most of the video I can find, but you can see the rest of clip with his smiling accusation here from Gawker.

For me, watching the national media tackle these marijuana stories is hilarious. It's like watching young kids who just discovered how to swear. They're not sure what they're doing, but they get giddy over the fact that they can make people laugh because they are talking about something that's 'taboo'.

I had a feeling we were going to see a lot of "exposés" on the effects of marijuana in the near future. I just wasn't expecting to see them first on CNN.

Randi Kaye spent last week in Colorado, reporting on the newly legalized business of recreational marijuana. Someone had to take one for the team. She hopped aboard a poorly ventilated bus for a pot tour. The rest is history, on the RidicuList.
