Civil War Reenactment Happening at Centennial Village September 24-25
On September 24 and 25, travel back in time at Greeley's Centennial Village and witness a day in the life of a Civil War soldier.
From 10 am - 5 pm on Saturday and 12 pm - 5 pm on Sunday, reenactors dressed in authentic, historical costumes will be set-up in the southeastern corner of the facility. The encampment will accurately depict how soldiers were living during the Civil War, incorporating genuine pieces of clothing and other items that were used during this time. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the soldiers in the encampment. The soldiers will be recreating drills on both days, and an actual battle reenactment will take place at noon on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. In addition to the soldiers, drills and battles, there will be historical stations set-up on-site, featuring other notable signs of the times, including a blacksmith, timber cutting, chuck wagon cooking, print shop demonstrations, and telegraph demonstrations.
Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors (60+), $5 for children (3 to 17) or $18 for the family rate (max. 5 people).
