Join us right after work at 5:30 on Thursday February 28th as 99.9 The Point and Interscope Geffen A&M Records invite you to a Point Unplugged performance with Churchill.  You can come out and see a short acoustic performance from the up and coming band at The Mayor Of Old Town and enjoy $3 Avery Beers. (You do need to be 21+ to join us for this one.)

Churchill got their start in Denver, Colorado as a two-piece with Tim Bruns and Mike Morter. before they expanded to 5 members. They released an album called "Happy/Sad" in 2011 and last year they released their own self-produced and self-recorded EP called "Change" which features the title track as their latest single.

The band has a show in Denver on March 8th, and will then be embarking on some HUGE tour dates. First, they'll be playing a string of shows with Phillip Phillips and then going to Europe to play with P!ink!

For Churchill, “Change” isn’t just the Denver quintet’s first hit, it’s also the force driving the group’s kaleidoscopic sound.

The Change EP (A&M/Octone) projects the band’s ambitious musical vision by deftly weaving together various styles into a dynamic hybrid that taps into each member’s strength. Founders Tim Bruns (guitar/vox) and Mike Morter (mandolin/guitar) deliver the freewheeling alt-country vibe; Tyler Rima (bass) and Joe Richmond (drums) inject some rock attitude; and Bethany Kelly (piano/vox) adds sophisticated classical flourishes.
