Cee Lo Green‘s Las Vegas revue ‘Cee Lo Green Is Loberace‘ has been postponed until 2013. The entertainer had to rescheduled his residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino so he can focus on judging contestants on ‘The Voice.’

The Sin City revue was inspired by the showmanship of the late flamboyant piano king Liberace. According to Planet Hollywood, the show will take fans on a musical ride through the colorful decades of music from Prince to Blue Magic to The Rolling Stones.

In a press release, Cee Lo Green explained why he had to reschedule the show:

It’s always been a dream of mine to be among the great music legends who have had a Las Vegas residency and I was very much looking forward to launching Loberace this year. But as we move into the third season of ‘The Voice,’ with my dedicated commitment to the filming schedule and love for my role on the show, I will need to postpone the opening of ‘Loberace’ to early 2013. Most importantly, to all my fans who have already purchased tickets, please accept my sincerest apology and I hope you can still join me in Vegas next year, so I can properly and finally introduce you to my brainchild.”

The ‘Cee Lo Green Is Loberace’ show will begin on Feb. 27, 2013, and run through April 13. Fans holding tickets for the postponed shows can exchange them or ask for a refund. Tickets for the new 2013 concerts will go on sale on August 1.

In the meantime, you can check out Cee Lo Green and his new mascot Lady the Cockatoo on the new season of ‘The Voice’ when it premieres Sept. 10 on NBC.
