The cat that was stranded on top of the water tower in the Town of LaSalle for about 4 days, has been rescued. The kitty climbed up the 85 foot tower on Sunday, October 30, but couldn't climb down on its own. The town exhausted all of their resources and still the little guy was left crying at the top of the tower. That's when a Fort Collins company called Technical Rescue Systems stepped up and literally came to the rescue. With the help of a drone to keep an eye on the cat, a few ropes and pulleys, a cat carrier, and tons of skill, they had the kitty on the ground in just a few minutes.

According to LaSalle resident Karen Gilden:

The vet said he is a little dehydrated, but is otherwise in good shape. She believes he is about five months old. He will be kept at the vet clinic for about 24 hours to rest. After that applications for adoption will be accepted through the Town of LaSalle. There will be a screening process.
