The Larimer County Search & Rescue team is an integral part of keeping our community safe. Even with so many volunteer hours, it's not a cheap service and they could use our help for them to continue doing all the awesome work they do.

LCSAR's mission is to find the lost, rescue the stranded and injured, recover the deceased, and educate the public on wilderness and mountain safety. They operate under the authority of Larimer County Sheriff's Office and while all service is provided to the public free of charge, they rely heavily on tax-deductible donations.

The "Breeze Thru for the Rescue" fundraiser is happening this Saturday, September 24, a car wash event where 100% of the car wash proceeds will go to Larimer County Search & Rescue. The event is held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Breeze Thru Car Wash at Lemay and Mulberry (1171 E. Mulberry) in Fort Collins. Free lunch will be provided from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as well as a climbing wall, bounce house, and opportunity to see LCSAR's search dogs and rescue truck.

If you can't make it out to Breeze Thru for the Rescue this Saturday but still want to help LCSAR, you can visit their website for donation information, volunteer opportunities, and more.
