Cans To Candelaria Food Drive Today In Greeely

Join Derek from 9-11 as he does a live broadcast from the University of Northern Colorado's 6th Annual Can's To Candelaria food drive. It's a campus wide food drive/competition on the UNC campus to raise non-perishable food and monetary donations or the Weld Food Bank.

The goal this year? 70,000 pounds worth of food. If you can spare it, grab your donation and drop it by the parking lots west of Candelaria Hall today (20th St. and 14th Ave., Greeley).Everything starts at 9am and goes until 2pm this afternoon. Get More info about cans To Candelaria here.

Canned food is always appreciated, but in these economic times, cash goes further. For instance, $1 buys 6 pounds of food or $10 of food, retail. Cash donations allows the food bank to have a bigger buying capacity—and helps pay for the gas and drivers, who bring donated food to WFB from all over the country.  - Scott Westfall, Weld Food Bank
