If you have a B-Agile, a B-Agile Double, or a BOB Motion single or double stroller, you'll want to read this. The United State Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall on a number of strollers for a risk of lacerations and amputations.

Ouch.

The stroller in question are the Britax B-Agile and B-Agile Double strollers and the BOB Motion strollers (both single and double).

From CPSC:

The hinge on the stroller’s folding mechanism can partially amputate consumers’ fingertips, break their fingers or cause severe lacerations, among other injuries, when they press the release button while pulling on the release strap...

If you have one of these strollers you are urged to stop using it right away and contact Britax for a free repair kit at 866-204-1665, or visit www.britaxusa.com or www.bobgear.com. This recall includes strollers that were sold nationwide between May 2011 and June 2013 in all colors.

Britax; toll-free at (866) 204-1665 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, visit the company’s websites at www.britaxusa.com  or www.bobgear.com and click on “Safety Notice” at the top right corner or on “Learn More” at the bottom center of the page, or e-mail strollerrecall@britax.com for more information.
