A Fort Collins man has been arrested for first degree homicide and attempted first degree homicide after stabbing 2 female victims late Tuesday.

At 11:56 p.m. Tuesday, 911 dispatchers received a report of a stabbing on Stover Street. When police arrived on the scene, they found 2 female victims. They were both transported to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, where one victim was pronounced dead. The other victim is being treated for multiple stab wounds.

Through investigation, Tolentino Corzo-Avendano, 26, was identified as a suspect and police were able to locate him early Wednesday at an address on Erin Ct.

SWAT responded and gave verbal commands over a loudspeaker in an attempt to contact Corzo-Avendano. When he did not comply, Flash Sound Diversionary Devices were deployed and verbal commands were given again. Corzo-Avendano surrendered shortly thereafter.

He was taken into custody and booked into Larimer County Jail on a no-bond warrant.
