Fort Collins Police officials are looking for the public's assistance in gathering information after a body was found in the city on Wednesday.

According to a press release sent by the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, officials found a body partially submerged under a bridge near the intersection of South Timberline and East Lincoln Wednesday afternoon.

The body was found around 12:21 p.m. and was discovered by a landscape contractor working in the area.

While the Larimer County Sheriff's Office is furthering investigating what occurred, they state that there is no reason to believe there is any danger to the public.

The body that was found is described as an adult male who may have been transient. After an autopsy is performed and family is notified, the coroner's office will then be able to identify the individual.

There are no indications of foul play.
