I have looked every where online for the "Best Turkey Brine Recipe Ever."  I found one and then adapted it in a very Alana Lynn way. I'm hoping this is amazingly delicious and I will have to let you know how it goes.  This is my very first year brining a turkey so I wanted to do it up right.  I found a recipe on the Traeger website and then kind of adapted it to my liking.  Here's the original recipe.  Below are the changes I made to it.

First start with a bottle of wine.  Not for the turkey, for you.  You deserve it, it's the holidays.  Enjoy!

1 turkey

4 bottles of booze (2 Odell Mountain Standard and 2 Crispin Hard Cider)

4 qt. of Cold Water (4c = 1q - totally had to look that up.  Sorry Mrs. Robertson for not retaining that piece of info from high school math class).

1 c. of canning salt (it's all I had since I only use the Himalayan Pink Salt.  Thankfully my mom visited over Labor Day and canned a bunch of stuff and we had canning salt leftover).

1 c. of Stevia (because brown sugar is a little too sweet for me)

5 cloves of crushed garlic (because I'm Italian and LOVE garlic)

1 TBSP of Black Peppercorns (give or take 1TBSP)

1 and 1/2 sweet onions quartered

Now my turkey is chilling in the fridge waiting to be smoked for tomorrow.  I'm excited to share the results!  Happy Turkey Making!
