Once you've played MyVegas for a long time, the loyalty points really start to stack up. When it's time to use them, you want to make your loyalty point stretch as far as possible and get the most for them that you can. Here are a few things to think about when deciding which MyVegas rewards you want to redeem.

Currently with the loyalty point economy in the game the best value you can receive is around $2 per 1,000 loyalty points. This means that if you see a food voucher for $50 and it costs 45,000 loyalty points, it might not be your best choice.

When planning your Las Vegas vacation, check ahead of time and see how much you estimate everything will cost. Try and use your MyVegas points to offset the things that you find will cost the most. Many times this will be hotel rooms if you plan to stay at a nice hotel on the strip. If you can spend 50,000 points on a room at the Mirage and it would have cost $100 anywhere else you tried to book it, you're probably making pretty good use of your hard earned loyalty points.

Just keep in mind that unless you've purchased chips within MyVegas, you will only get to redeem 3 rewards at MGM properties. You can redeem one additional reward at each of the other MyVegas partners including Wolfgang Puck, House of Blues, Sugar Factory and the Las Vegas Monorail.
