Beano Tries New Subway Nachos (Doritos Nachos)

Doritos scored a huge hit with their Doritos Locos Tacos at Taco Bell, and in a continuing cross-marketing campaign Subway is testing out their new 'Subway Nachos'. (Nachos made with Nacho Cheese Doritos.)

I have been drooling over them ever since I saw a sign advertising them and finally tried them out last night, but are they worth your hard earned cash?I'll level with you and say they were delicious, but they seem a bit overpriced for what you actually get.

Something about the heated-up Doritos actually tames the spice of the jalapenos a little bit and the whole dish mixes three flavors I love perfectly.

However, after tax, my Subway nachos cost 3-dollars and some change. And what I received was a 1.75-ounce bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos poured in in box, with eight jalapeno slices (I counted), and a small little plastic cup of nacho cheese sauce.

Definitely not $3 worth of food there. Especially considering that you can get a 6-inch sandwich along with a bag of Doritos and a drink for about $5. But dang were they good! Good enough that I might buy them again if I get a craving, but I think it more inspired me to make my own someday.
