What started out as a heartbreaking birthday for one boy turned into a day he'll never forget.

Glenn Buratti is an autistic boy from St. Cloud, Fl., who was crushed when no one from his class showed up for his birthday party when he turned 6.

His mother, Ashlee, was so hurt that not one kid turned out for the bash she wrote of the pain he was feeling on Facebook. Social media being what it is, total strangers started leaving and even giving gifts.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office heard about Glenn and did something every 6-year-old would love: it honored him with a flyover from the sheriff's helicopter.

Ashlee told WKMG:

One of our friends put him up on their shoulders and Glenn was smiling the whole time and waved. It was amazing."

That was just the beginning for Glenn, though. Fire trucks, police dogs and other officials stopped by to say hello, too. What's more, deputies all chipped in and bought presents for Glenn.

Ashlee is blown away by how the community rallied around her son, saying, "The amazingness of everybody coming together for someone that they didn't even know. A kid that didn't have anybody come to his birthday party. It warmed my heart."

Of course, there's still the mystery of why no one from Glenn's class attended his party. Ashlee said she hasn't heard a peep from the students or their parents.

We have a feeling that Glenn may not be thinking about that as much right now.
