Are Corgis Going Extinct?

Well in a word no, but they are on their way to becoming endangered! Someone tell the Queen!

Britain Kennel Club has added the cute little pups to the "at watch" list after it said that only 241 of the dogs were registered this year. To stay off of the vulnerable breeds list, the need 300 registrations.

Why the decline of the "Royal" dogs? The club says it has something to do with the popularity of French Bulldogs. Meaning that the Corgis are losing on the "cutest dog to own".

Another reason could be the ban on tail-docking which breeders say without that they can't get the desired Corgi look, so they have just given up.
