Ammunition Found in Locker at Middle School in Berthoud

Parents and students at Turner Middle School are on edge after a box of ammunition was found in a locker.

As the Denver Channel reported, there was a box of ammunition found in a locker room a the school on Wednesday by staff.

Thankfully there was no one hurt, but Thompson School District did email parents to inform them of the discovery and reassure them that law enforcement had been notified.

Berthoud is a small town but the email also mentioned as almost an excuse for it, that is "hunting season."

The district said that the Sheriff's Deputies determined there was never a safety or security risk in the school.
