African Lion Tacos Are No More

If you remember last week I talked about a little restaurant in Tuscon, Arizona that was going to serve up African Lion tacos for its next batch of exotic tacos. Well, those have now been scrapped. The restaurant decided not to do them after the owner received threats against the restaurant, family, customers and vendors. I am not sure why people are up in arms over this. The restaurant has already served a variety of exotic meats in the tacos and the FDA says its ok as long as the meat is obtained legally and not from an endangered species. Seems kind of weird that people would threaten other peoples safety over some tacos. The restaurant says they will continue to bring unique items to the Tuscon community but not at the expense of safety.
