Maroon 5 Frontman, ‘Voice‘ Coach and all-around rockstar Adam Levine had an exciting announcement today: He’s starting his own record label! And he’s already signed the first artist.

Levine may be cocky about his starmaking powers on NBC’s ‘The Voice,’ but now it’s time for him to put his money where his mouth is. Come Spring, Adam’s new label 222 Records will release the sophomore album from (get ready…) ‘Glee‘ star Matthew Morrison. With Levine’s eye for talent and Morrison’s killer voice, this record will surely be a powerhouse.

“I am excited to be working on my next album with such an incredible singer, writer, and producer as Adam Levine,” Morrison said. And he’s not the only one who’s stoked. E! Online reports that Adam Levine, in a statement about the label launch, said he’s “excited for everyone to hear Matthew’s forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release.”

So who’s luckier? Hard to say, but one thing is for sure: With all the Gleeks, ‘Voice’ fanatics, and Maroon 5 fans out there, a lot of people are going to be blasting this next season.
