"Act of Valor' is a different type of movie.  Sure it is classified as an action/war movie but honestly it is so much more than that. It is a film that not only portrays what our men and women in the service do for us, it uses them as well.I was a little nervous going into this movie for the simple fact that they weren't using actors in the main roles of the SEALS because honestly we have all been there where we are watching a film with horrible acting and you want to turn it off. The acting of the two main SEALS wasn't the best that I  have ever seen, but honestly their acting didn't really matter. If anything it kind of added to the reality of the film and how these are REAL soldiers portraying actual ops. And it was really only their personal interactions that you really noticed it. On top of that, the use of real military speech and tactics again, added to the realism

The opening scene did such a good job of pulling you in and the rest of the film kept it going. I found myself at times gripping the armrest in anticipation or in excitement and when it was done I almost wanted to stand up and applaud. A little weird I know, I don't usually feel like that after a film, no matter how good it was.

I highly, highly recommend this film. Everything from the explosions, sounds, tactics were 100% authentic. This is not your everyday action movie. To prove it, during production, after the SEALS became frustrated that they were not being accurately depicted, they were invited to play key roles in the cast.  That says something in the authenticity of the film.

I think that everyone should see this film. The acting was a little hard to believe only during certain scenes, but like I said, it didn't take anything away from the film.

I give it 41/2 out of 5 salutes!
