*UPDATED 1/20/17
Animal House Rescue & Grooming has posted this statement on their Facebook page:

Due to the recent allegations of abuse on the set of A Dog's Purpose, the decision has been made to not support or show this movie at the fundraising screening scheduled for January 29th. Currently the decision is being made to either show another movie or to cancel the event. We will know which movie is available as a substitute on Monday, January 23rd. If you purchased tickets and would like a refund please contact Wet Noses Pet Sitting (an email with more details has been sent to everyone who purchased tickets). If you would like to donate the funds from your tickets you can communicate that as well. We appreciate your patience and sharing your concern with us. We are saddened by this news and hope that all the dogs appearing in the movie are safe and sound.
