A Computer To Battle Humans In A Game Of Wits

This February the game show Jeopardy is having the IBM super computer, Watson, take on two of the top players in a battle of wits. This should be very interesting to watch. IBM is saying with the technology that Watson has could help solve problems in hospitals and other vital areas. Watson is about the size of 10 refrigerators , has 15 terabytes of random access memory and has been downloading information from encyclopedias, books, news and pop culture. It should be very interesting to see how the human players fair against a super computer.

Side note: Is this the beginning of Skynet from the Terminator movies? I kid, but I wish they didn't make it sound so much like HAL from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
