5 Northern Colorado August Events That Are a Must See
Can you believe that we are creeping closer and closer to the end of summer? The stores have already started putting out the school supplies for the start of the year!
Just because August means gearing up to end the season, it doesn’t mean that there are no longer any good events throughout Northern Colorado.
Throughout the entire state, along with right in our very own backyard, there are plenty of events for you to book your weekend (or work week) around.
We’ve searched and scoured for those events to see what you need to make plans for, and here are the five that we think stand out the most.
Get ready and have fun in August! Because as soon as we know it, the cold weather will be here and the snow will start flying.
The annual Larimer County Fair and Rodeo happens in the first part of the month and has entertainment for the entire family. The kids can enjoy Carnival Americana while the parents enjoy the Gnarley Barley Brew Festival on Saturday, August 5th!
If you like wine, you’ll love the Estes Park Wine Festival! It’s a two day event and you can buy your tickets ahead of time for $30 or the day of the event for $40. They will have wine (of course), but also food vendors and entertainment throughout the two days.
A traditional event in Fort Collins is Bohemian Nights at New West Fest, which is a musical event that caters to everyone in your family. Cracker, Cake, and Brandi Carlile headline the 2017 event.
Country newcomers Delta Rae will be at the Moxi Theater in Greeley on Sunday, August 6th. There are still great tickets available, and they are only $15 in advance! Make sure you get your tickets to see this great group perform in one of Northern Colorado’s top venues!
Before the kids head back to school, there is one more event you want to put on your calendar and that’s the Fort Collins Peach Festival on August 19th! There will be peaches from Palisade and a 5K run/walk to kick it off. Keep in mind that this year’s festival is at a brand new location, at Civic Center Park and Washington Park downtown!
