3-Alarm Fire in Fort Collins Still Burning
A fire is burning in Old town Fort Collins. The building burning now is the 4-story Penny Flats mixed-use building. The fire spread from an adjacent building that was under construction.

PFA is currently working a major fire in a four story mixed-use building at Mason St. & Maple St. in downtown Fort Collins. The fire was reported just after 0330 hours this morning and was from another building fire to the north. – Poudre Fire Authority
PFA is asking the residents avoid the area of downtown Fort Collins bordered by Cherry St. on the north, LaPorte Ave. on the south, Mason St. on the east, and Howes St. on the west.
The City of Fort Collins tweeted that Downtown Transit Center is closed due to the fire and that all DTC routes will instead arrive and depart on College Ave. south of Maple Street.
Police say roads in the area likely will remain closed for several hours as firefighters continue to work and smoke and flames are still visible.
