2015 Loveland 4th of July Celebration – Food, Fun & Fireworks

The annual Loveland Independence Day Celebration at North Lake Park will include food, fun, fireworks and much more to celebrate the July 4^th holiday.

Entertainment

There is a car show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with 25 vintage collector vehicles ranging from the 1920s-70s. And at 8 p.m. the Loveland Concert Band will perform Loveland's patriotic favorites at the Hammond Amphitheater until the fireworks show, entitled "Echoes of Liberty", begins at 9:17 p.m. Fireworks will run for about 30 minutes and conclude with a grand finale of close to 500 shots.

Food & Vendors

As always a bevy of food vendors and informational booths will be on-site and the Lions Club will be running the North Lake Park train for train rides all day long.

Closed Areas

• The basketball courts, playground on the south side of the park
• Swim beach and swim beach parking lot will be closed July 3-4. The swim beach and swim beach parking lot will remain closed through 10 a.m. July 5.
• Areas in the park that are off-limits to spectators will be fenced and posted, and security personnel will patrol these cleared areas.
• Pedestrian access to the amphitheater and ball fields south of Loveland High School will be from the walkway that runs north around the fishing pond along west 29^th Street.

Transportation and Parking

To reduce traffic congestion, and because parking will be very limited, attendees are urged to bicycle or walk to the park. The parking lots at LHS will be available for public parking for a fee. No RV parking will be allowed this year at LHS. Limited diagonal parking will be available along 29^th Street from Taft Avenue to Empire Avenue and from Aspen Drive to Custer Avenue. Attendees can park on the street in surrounding neighborhoods but must not block driveways or impede resident parking. This option may require walking a considerable distance to the park.

Traffic inside the park will be limited to event participants and staff, only. Twenty-ninth Street from Custer Drive to Taft Avenue will be closed to through-traffic all day July 4. The rear of the amphitheater will be reserved for public safety personnel and vendor access.

Pets, Alcoholic Beverages & Personal Fireworks

The Loveland Police and Fire Departments have requested that all visitors to North Lake Park leave their pets (except for service dogs), alcoholic beverages and personal fireworks at home as the risk for injury is elevated at crowded events. Violators will risk receiving a summons for violating the City ordinance against consuming alcoholic beverages and/or shooting fireworks in a public place.

Illegal Fireworks

Illegal fireworks are any pyrotechnics that explode or leave the ground and include bottle rockets, cherry bombs, firecrackers, mortars, rockets and roman candles.
