One Fort Collins girl is headed to the White House and getting a recipe published in a cookbook, after entering a healthy eating challenge contest. According to the Coloradoan, 10-year-old Hanna Skalicky, entered the contest earlier this year and was one of 54 other kids invited to Washington D.C. to have dinner with the Obamas.

Hanna's Peach Curry Chicken recipe will also be added to a free cookbook that is being released this Friday (July 15, 2016) at www.letsmove.gov. The guidelines for the competition included being healthy, affordable for families, and spotlighting homegrown pride. Each contestant was encouraged to feature a local ingredient that is from their home state. For Hanna, that was Palisade peached, locally grown in the foothills of the Rockies.
